Magnolia
Classics are classics for a reason! There isn’t one treat that Magnolia doesn’t do well, but my favorites are their Banana Pudding (duh) and their Funfetti Cake!

Levain Bakery
I don’t care what people say, the avenues long line to get in the door of Levain is worth it! The Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie is my favorite but they’re all glorious. Crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside.

Schmackary's
Their iced funfetti cookie might just be my favorite cookie on earth. It’s soft, it’s sweet, it has sprinkles and it’s smothered in homemade frosting. If there’s one cookie I dream about at night it is this one.

If that isn’t enough for you, they have a wonderful assortment of cupcakes and other treats that are also worth trying.

The City Bakery
Their hot chocolate is dynamite. I couldn’t even get that short sentence out without my mouth beginning to water. It’s rich, it’s thick, it’s sweet, but not too sweet… it’s just heavenly. And don’t skimp on the homemade marshmallow. It’s worth the extra $$.

Dominique Ansel Bakery
How could you not love the birthplace of the Cronut? The Cronut flavors change every month and they never repeat! Dominique Ansel is always coming out with new creations like The Cookie shot and more recently, Burrata Soft Serve. It’s inventive, it’s fresh, and it is well deserving of your time.

Little Cupcake Bakeshop
I shamelessly go out of my way to go to Little Cupcake Bakeshop at least once every two weeks. Their cakes are the best in the city, making them well worth the expensive $7.75 per slice. The cake is fluffy, the icing is perfectly rich and their flavor combinations are so creative. The “Cookie Dough Cake” which is rather new to their menu is a MUST!

Two Little Red Hens
When it comes to scones and pies Two Little Red Hens is my go to! Flavors change seasonally, and baked goods are made fresh daily. The coffee is good and the interior is cozy!

Orwashers Bakery
If you live uptown this should be your go-to for all things bread. They bake all of their products fresh each day in small batches. They offer old classics such as community loaves and pletzels, but also newer fan favorites and delectable bagel sandwiches. Their everything bagels actually have the everything seasoning baked into the dough.
