Cabo Fish Taco
This NoDa staple is certainly a go-to for all Charlotte natives. The Baja-Mexican style restaurant serves up some of the best tacos in town and has one of the coolest vibes of any restaurant.

Price's Chicken Coop
We may be cheating by including both of Charlotte's favorite fried chicken joints as one entry but you really can't go wrong with either spot. If you decide to try Price's on the rail trail be ready to wait in a line and if it sounds weird to get fried chicken from a Shell station on one of Charlotte's busiest roads, trust us you won't regret it after you try it.

Futo Buta
The number one ramen spot in Charlotte, hands down. They also have some delicious korean fried chicken, gyoza, and homemade ice cream. If you are a ramen lover (who doesn't love ramen?!) or just like asian food in general then you definitely need to check this place out.

Mac's Speed Shop
There may be some debate as to who has the best barbecue in Charlotte (see number 9 on this list) but Macs Speed Shop is so much more than a BBQ joint. Biker bar, local hangout, great beer, and delicious sides - this place has it all.

Home cooked italian comfort food… need we say more? Even the plates the serve the pasta in remind us of Nonna's house.

Lincolns Haberdashery
This local market/restaurant/coffee shop/bakery is located in the old Lance Cracker Factory on South Blvd and is a favorite of Queen City locals. At any given time you can get fresh baked french pastries, mimosa kits, pre-made salads, or avocado toast on house baked bread at Lincoln's. We love it all!

Midwood Smokehouse
Unquestionably one of the best barbecue spots in town. One of the only local spots that cooks their pigs over a wood pit and the quality really shows in the meat. Stop by Midwood Smokehouse and your sure to see plenty of locals chowing down on one of their favorites.

Viva Chicken Elizabeth Avenue
While Viva Chicken may not be strictly a Charlotte restaurant, locals in the Queen City have adopted it as their own. This Peruvian rotisserie chicken joint has multiple locations in the City and everything on their menu is delicious. Pro tip: ask for extra sauces, each one of them is amazing!
