El Rincòn
Located in Barcelona, this old school restaurant serves roasted lamb that is one of a kind. The tapas are also fierce; Patatas Bravas like no other. I first stumbled on this spot in 2001. Since then I have been here five more times, and its never stopped being solid (mom and pop) home cooking.

Lava Restaurant
You simply cannot visit the Blue Lagoon and skip their restaurant. Lava offers amazing lamb and fish dishes. The simplicity of the food is accentuated by local traditions and seasonings. The fennel tones in their delicate seasonings and sauces will make you fall in love with Scandinavian inspired foods.

Osteria Enoteca Ai Artisti
I have never had a better squid ink pasta! The pasta was handmade and fresh, the sauce was delicate and the squid stole the entire show. Every part of this dish was a masterpiece. I highly recommend this restaurant. Make sure to reserve in advance because the dining room is tiny! The restaurant also offers two dining time slots to make up for the size of the locale.

Pierre Gagnaire
I haven't been back to Pierre Gagnaire in years, but this was such an experience. I framed the menu! They had champagnes carafes and chocolate look alike cherries. The food was to die for! Everyone should experience food like this, at least, once in their life. What a chef!

The Alley Light
A hidden gem in the heart of the Charlottesville Downtown area. This French restaurant serves one of a kind dishes. Make sure you look for the signs leading you to the alley, the restaurant is literally a door in the alley, but entirely worth the adventure.
