Edinburgh
Gothic , mysterious and dark! Grab your pitch forks and drum of whiskey! Edinburgh is best enjoyed sipping a whiskey on the Royal Mile after you have had warm haggis with gravy and mash! Visit to the castle is a must and walk on Victoria street with its colourful town houses is best enjoyed rapped up in a kilt blanket.

Guildford
Historic Guildford is only 45 mins train journey from London and has so much to offer! With a cathedral , a top rated university and a buzzing town, Guildford holds a special place in my heart as i went to uni there and hold fond memories. Guildford is a great spot for exploring some history, walking the streets and enjoying a meal by the river. Shopping is also second to none with well known brands like Hobbs, Karen Millen and House of Frasier . If you are the adventurous type , you can also drive over to the Surrey Hills at Peaslake or Shere and take a hike up the hills , which offer views to die for! Shere is the known location for many British films like the Holiday and Bridget Jones. A day is perfectly sufficient to explore Guildford and if planning to visit the surrounding villages, couple of days with an overnight stay would be best.
