Bridalveil Fall
A short and easy trail leads to this beautiful Yosemite waterfall, where water plunges down 620 feet, swaying with the wind like the veil of a bride. The only downside is, it does get crowded, so visit early in the morning.

El Capitan
This is definitely one of my most favorite rocks in the world. El Capitan is a colossal granite monolith, which rises about 3,000 feet above the Yosemite Valley. It is considered one of the greatest challenges for rock climbers around the world. Its imposing size leaves me speechles every time!

Glacier Point
Glacier Point is one of the most popular and most spectacular viewpoints in Yosemite, and it is only an easy walk from the parking lot. From here, you can practically see the entire Yosemite Valley down below; it is where you suddenly begin to comprehend the vastness of this whole place.

Half Dome Visor
The hike up to the iconic Half Done is very long and exhausting, but it is also one of the most exhilarating and memorable experiences in the park. For the last 400 feet, you will have to pull yourself up the steep granite with the help of steel cables. Remember, you will need a special permit if you plan to take on the Half Dome challenge, so plan early, and enter the lottery which is usually held during the month of March.

Lower Yosemite Fall Trail
Similar to Bridalveil Fall trail, this is a beautiful and easy path, which takes you to the bottom of Lower Yosemite Fall. Because it is easily accessible to all visitors, it can get quite crowded, so get there as early as you can!

Nevada Fall
Here is another gorgeous Yosemite waterfall, which is a little further up the mountain. You can get to it from Happy Isles, either via John Muir Trail or Myst Trail. My recommendation is to go up Myst Trail and return on John Muir Trail. This way you will also get to see Vernal Fall.

Olmsted Point
This is a great viewpoint near Tioga Road in the northern region of the park. On a clear day, you can see from here the back of Half Dome and the famous steel cables.

Sentinel Dome
The hike up to Sentinel Dome is perhaps one of my favorite short hikes in the park, and the views at the top are incredible. You get a 360-degree panorama of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and far beyond. Be sure to check it out! It is a fairly easy hike with tremendous rewards at the end.

Taft Point
Another easy hike leads to Taft Point, which is a spine-chilling overlook that hangs over the cliffs and the Yosemite Valley. It is not uncommon to see highliners here…you know, those crazy people that walk across a cable that is stretched above the underlying abyss.

Tenaya Lake
Here is one of my favorite lakes in Yosemite. Located in the northern region along Tioga Road, Tenaya Lake is truly a peaceful and beautiful place to relax and connect with Nature. It is encircled by breathtaking panoramas of granite peaks and pine tree forests.
