V&A Waterfront
There’s no better way to spend a Summer’s day than at this spot. I usually find a restaurant with a patio and a view and watch the boats come in and out of the harbour. For a real treat, I’ll hop on a boat and head out to sea for about an hour to see some seals and Cape Town from a different view. You can choose to cruise all the way to Robbin Island to visit this world heritage site. Then end the day with some ice cream and shopping!

Table Mountain
No trip to Cape Town is complete without a trip up this World Wonder. If you’re a fitness or hiking lover then you can head up the mountain by foot, or you can take the cable car to the very top. The cable car trip lasts only a few minutes but it offers incredible views of the Mother City. My favourite part of the ride up is that the car turns and does a complete 360 while going up. Once you’re on top you can grab some lunch and cake and explore the top of the table (mountain). See what I did there?

The Neighbourgoods Market
Saturday mornings are for markets. There are many to choose from, but this Woodstock spot is a favourite for many. It offers everything from art galleries to vintage shopping and fresh produce. I like to round up the troops and go there for a yummy breakfast and catch up with friends. It's a great way to start the day and you can decide whether you'd like to spend 1 or 3 hours here!

Hout Bay
Take a trip to the ‘other side of the mountain’ and enjoy the best fish and chips in the city! You might have to wait longer than you would like, but the wait will be well worth it once you sit down and enjoy the fresh food. Take a walk around the harbour, visit the market and if it’s a sunny day, spend the day on the beach. The moment you step on the sands and look at the ocean you’ll think you’re someone in Nice, France. The ocean is incredibly calm and it’s the perfect way to spend a relaxing day.

West Coast National Park
Turn this into a day trip you’ll never forget. Drive two hours out of the city and follow the stunning landscape. West Coast National Park is protected land that has fauna and flora that any nature lover will be impressed by. Drive around the massive park and enjoy the views, then finally stop at one of the many beaches in the park and swim in crystal blue waters. Once you step in you won’t want to leave!

Queen's Beach
If you ask any local which beach you should visit, they’ll probably say Clifton. If you want the most popular beach then that’s your best option. But I prefer Sea Point beach because there are many sections to choose from and it’s more relaxed than any other spot. As a bonus, I’m close to the city if I need a quick snack but I’m also right on the beach with ocean and mountain views.

GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World
I love alternative means of fitness so I ice skate twice a week to keep fit. GrandWest offers everything from a casino to restaurants, an Olympic sized ice rink, games for kids and a cinema. Plus you can stop by the bar and watch some live music!

Long Street
If you step foot into this road 12 hours could pass by and chances are you won't notice. It offers everything from shopping to music, bars, clubs and restaurants where you can sit and watch the locals go by.
