Patisserie Florentine
I've tried just about every almond croissant in downtown Manhattan and theirs is the best, hands down.

I visited two years ago and I still dream about their Earl Grey Tea & Shortbread Cookies ice cream...

Magnolia Bakery
Made famous by Sex and the City, it's become a requisite stop for SATC fans, but their banana bread pudding actually lives up to the hype

Cafe Du Monde
The grand dame of New Orleans beignets. Recommend going as soon as it opens or you'll be waiting in a very, very long line.

Baked & Wired
One of the biggest non-political debates in DC is whether Baked and Wired or Georgetown Cupcakes is better. Baked and Wired wins (plus, you get a larger cupcake for about the same price). I like their Razmanian Devil and OMG Bar (freeze it before eating).

Boba Bar and Desserts
Known for their puffle cones. I loved their Perfect Matcha, but their servings are enormous. Unless you have a major sweet tooth, I suggest splitting with a friend.

Cafe Beignet
Cafe du Monde gets all the attention but this shop's beignets are just as good and maybe - dare I say - even better...

Taiyaki NYC
One of the few Instagram-famous dessert spots that's actually good. Try their Straight Outta Japan (matcha sesame swirl soft serve w/ mochi and red bean filling)
