Øvre Holmegate
The Colorful Street — One of the places in Stavanger to relax and have a coffee, drink a beer and just socialize or watch people go by. The colorful street is paved with buidlings painted in different colors, coffee shops, bars and excellent norwegian food.

Lysefjord
Standing on top of Preikestolen or Kjeragbolten - Lysefjorden is what you see. But you can experience this fjord in more ways than that to really appreciate its beauty. Take a boat ride or do some kayaking - whatever you choose to do here you will remember it for life.

Dalsnuten
A hike to the top of a small mountain that offers incredible views over Sandnes and Stavanger. It takes about 30-60 minutes and is not that hard. If there is not too much wind up here you could sit there for hours contemplating life or whatever just enjoying the amazing view and feeling of freedom.

Gamle Stavanger
It is not the biggest old town you will see, but if you like the norwegian culture and wanna see traditional wooden houses, then by all means take a walk along these small cobblestone streets.

Pulpit Rock
Norway is often compared to New Zealand when it comes to scenic beauty and fairly so. When you trek to Preikestolen you understand why. Standing on top of this rock formation about 600 metres above the beutiful Lysefjord down below your in for nothing short of a religious experience for sure.

Jæren Dykkersenter Stavanger
Jæren Beaches — If wanna surf, look no further. These beaches are the best. They are by far the most beautiful beaches around Stavanger. Just make sure you visit on a very good day otherwise you might get soaked in rain - it rains a lot in Stavanger.

Sverd i fjell
Not a spectacular sight per say but a beautiful spot to either picnic or perhaps take a swim. You will find a small beach and one of nicest walks along water in Stavanger besides Godalen if you walk towards Tananger bridge. Very special and expensive houses along the way.

Kjerag
Another incredible spot in the Lysefjord where you can balance on a rock stuck between two mountains about 1000 metres above sea level. If that doesnt give you a rush, nothing will. The hike up here is though but well worth if when you are rewarded heavenly views.
