Bleecker Street Pizza
Another great outlet for a slice on the go, but in the traditional thin crust style. Bleecker Street has slightly thicker pizza than a place like Joe's, and toppings go right to the border of a crispy, delicious crust.

Lions & Tigers & Squares Detroit Pizza
Lions and Tigers and Squares was created by the same owners as Artichoke, but specifically for grandma style pizza. The best part: it's cheap. You can get a traditional margherita personal-sized pizza for just $9, and other special flavors are just a few dollars more. Their pepperoni is also thick and flavorful, just like the pepperoni at Artichoke or Prince Street.

Best Pizza
Best Pizza is a small, less popular joint in Williamsburg that truly has some of the best pizza. Their slices are cooked in a wooden, rather than charcoal, oven, giving it a unique taste. Their pepperoni and white slices are favorites on the menu.

Emily - West Village
Emily is so good that it tops both the best pizza and best burger lists of NYC. Emily's best pizza is Detroit-style, or grandma style, and features unique flavor combinations that make you never want to stop eating. They split grandma pizza choices into the reds, whites, and greens, and all are amazing. One favorite is the "Arenstein" (pepperoni, pickled chili, and honey on vodka sauce). For those who want the classic thin crust, the "Emily" (pistachio, honey, truffle Sottocenere) and "Cacio e Pepe" pizzas are a must.

Lil' Frankie's
Lil Frankie's tops the list of both general Italian food and pizza. This is the best of all the restaurants in this group (also including Frank, Supper and Sauce), and serves unbeatable pizza and pasta. For meat lovers, get the "Pizza Prosciutto di Parma" or the "Pizza Polpettine" (baby meatballs, vine, mozzarella & fresh sage). Their meatballs are miniature sized and make for an amazing topping. Veggie lovers and meat lovers alike should get the "Pizza Goat Cheese" (mozzarella, goat cheese, roasted peppers, roasted eggplant, arugula).

Tony Boloney's Hoboken
For those willing to travel outside of NYC to Hoboken or Jersey City, Tony Boloney's is beyond worth it. With over 40 pies to choose from, Tony Boloney's goes beyond standard thin crust, introducing wild and crazy flavors like "Uncle Jemima" (fried chicken, homemade waffles, sharp cheddar and local maple syrup) and "Tikka" (homemade Indian tikka masala coconut curry with hand pressed paneer cheese, jalapenos and fresh cilantro) that will change the way you think about pizza. It sounds weird, but they're beyond delicious.

Rubirosa
It's nearly impossible to get a reservation, but Rubirosa is worth it. Their pizzas are large, thin and flaky, with flavorful sauce. The "Tie-Dye" is a must, featuring vodka, tomato and pesto sauces with fresh mozzarella on top. Pizzas are big enough to easily split with friends. For gluten-free foodies, this is the place to go; their gluten-free dough tastes as good as their regular dough.
