The Horny Ram
The Horny Ram is a cheap but delicious option in Midtown East, with many fun options that are great to split among friends. The M&M pancakes and the pancake burger are two highlights. They also have a bottomless brunch that's only $19, and great drinks to show for it.

Clinton St. Baking Company
Clinton Street Baking Co. has the best pancakes around, but go when you have time to spare; they don't take reservations, and it's almost always a two hour wait during the weekend. They come in chocolate chunk or blueberry, in a stack that's so fluffy it's entirely worth the wait.

Sunday in Brooklyn is another great spot for pancakes, though these are more specialized: they come covered in a hazelnut praline sauce. It's delicious and very photogenic. Those with a sweet tooth should also get the sticky bun. For those looking for a savory start, their egg sandwiches are also flavorful and filling.

La Bonbonniere
La Bonbonniere is a West Village institution, but still feels like a hidden gem in that anyone outside the West Village doesn't quite know about it. It's an old school diner that happens to serve the best french toast in the city. It's made with challah bread, and is so soft and chewy that you'll want it on your table every time you go.
