Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon
This museum is housed in one of the first buildings of Charleston. Inside, you will hear and see the history of the early days of Charleston and see how the city established itself as a major port city in the south. Upstairs, you can see where a major decision in American history was made as well.

The Battery
Walk along the Battery at sunset — The Battery is where you will find those large homes that you identify with Charleston. These homes on the water are huge, historic, and absolutely stunning. I was amazed at the beauty and size of these homes, all featuring the quintessential architecture of Charleston.

Toast
Toast is a delicious spot located in the hustle and bustle of Charleston. Make sure to get a glass of the house-made orange juice, that is so fresh and yummy! They can turn it into a mimosa as well. They serve breakfast food that is absolutely scrumptious, but lunch and dinner as well.

Waterfront Park
Battery Park & the pineapple fountain — After the showcase of large homes along the Battery, is Battery Park, a peaceful place where the locals come to run and walk their dogs. Also here, is the famous pineapple fountain, practically inviting you to enjoy your stay in hospitable Charleston.

Queen Street Grocery
Queen Street Grocery was my favorite spot to eat in Charleston. Located on quiet Queen Street, this little hipster spot offers sweet and savory crepes, kombucha, and other specialty food and drinks. I loved the vibe of this small and casual eatery.
