juicebox café
A small coffee shop with a limited menu, but the coconut yogurt parfait is a must. It's a big portion for the price, and has unique little ginger flavor throughout each bite. Beware, they do not have drip coffee. Only espresso and tea lattes. They do, however, make pumpkin seed (pepita) milk in house which is very fun to watch, and they sweeten it with a little date. The matcha truffle is good too but kind of tastes like grass, so only if you're into that.

Oddfellows Café + Bar
A very trendy industrial style cafe with very limited vegan options, like there was one greens and grains bowl on the menu but BOY it was good. I went back the next day. The lattes are also some of the best I've ever had. They have a range of dairy-free milks.

Frankie & Jo's Capitol Hill
My absolute favorite place in Seattle. The ice creams are free of parabens, gums and artificial additives, which is hard to find in any ice cream these days. They use seasonal ingredients like figs, pumpkin, etc. with fun spices like cardamom, black pepper, rose... The ice cream is extremely thick, you would have no idea it's free of dairy cream. Mostly coconut based with one sorbet option, they also offer two flavors sweetend by dates instead of cane sugar for those who prefer a paleo diet or have allergies.

Plum Chopped
A side chain of Plum Bistro, it's a fast casual salad and grain bowl place but it is 100% not average. You can build your own, but the menu items are where it's at. I highly recommend the "Why Aren't You Fancy" salad bowl. I dream of it nearly everyday, but that's because I'm a sucker for cashew-based cheese. Whatever, sue me!

Mighty-O Donuts Capitol Hill
A disguised vegan donut place. They don't advertise as vegan, but they don't use any animal products (they will confirm this for you as well). The website ingredient FAQ also mentions that they don't use egg or dairy because they don't need to, considering they've mastered old-school donut recipe without having to add these ingredients. I recommend going in the morning or early on in the day, as the donuts got dry toward the end of the day. Chocolate on chocolate is the move.

Sweetgrass Food Co.
Another quick salad/grain bowl place, but the produce and animal products (very few, I think only egg...) are local and humane certified. The brussel sprouts are cooked to perfection. Insider tip: ask what the seasonal veggies are before you order them.

Sizzle Pie
A total fast casual pizza place, but with amazing vegan pizza with gluten free options. They sell by the slice, cut or entire pizza (call ahead for an entire pizza).

Plum Bistro
The epitome of all the menu items you crave, but vegan. Think: coconut crusted "shrimp", fried mushroom calamari, spicy cajun mac 'n "yease"... If you're looking for a healthy dinner, this is not the place. Although you can get a pizza loaded with veggies, which looked amazing at the table next to me. Everything is crazy flavorful!
