Luang Prabang
Giving alma to the monks — A humbling cultural experience I was able to partake in when I was in Luang Prabang, Laos. I was hesitant at first but after being encouraged to partake in tak bat by local Laotions I was beyond grateful to have been able to experience it.

Great Wall of China
Having the Great Wall of China all to myself — We opted out of an organized tour and went on our own. A storm rolled in while we were on the wall and we had to wait it out in a watch tower. When the storm finally passed we hiked back to where we started and had the wall all to ourselves.

Skydiving over Italian vineyards — A friend chickened out to go skydiving a half hour before getting on the plane so I decided at that moment to take their spot. The skydiving instructor didn’t speak much English and I didn’t speak conversational skydiving but who needed to talk when you were in awe of all the vineyards you were floating over.

Mastering the sport of snowboarding — I’m a cautious person by nature, so when I learned and mastered snowboarding at one of the best ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains it was a huge accomplishment for me as it was way out of my comfort zone.
