Jacob's Pickles
The best fried chicken thighs I've ever had. HUGE portions. Great selection of whiskey and beer. The half baked cookie with ice cream is a great way to end the meal, right before the inevitable nap you will need after.

Han Dynasty
The Dan Dan noodle, mapo tofu, and spicy cucumber are the best I've had anywhere. Mostly the spice/chili sauce they use, I think. Spicy but not sweating through your shirt spicy and a little sweet. The other dishes are not really worth getting. Can be a line during prime dinner time.

The Brooklyn Mirage
Probably my favorite live music venue in the NYC area. I've only been for electronic music. The place is gigantic and has walkways around the top of the walls where you can chill with nice views of the city. Usually it's not too crowded but it has been getting more and more crowded especially since Output closed.

Rockwood Music Hall
One of my favorite smaller live music venues. There are 3 stages. 2 of them are tiny - the room is usually packed shoulder-to-shoulder. Good mix of music styles. The two smaller stages are usually free and the bigger room is usually a $10-20 cover. Mostly smaller, local acts. Great area to check out other venues and bars as well.

The Bao
My favorite Szechuan style food in the city. If you go with 4 or more people, you can get out of there very full and with a beer and shared sake bottle for $40. Some favorites: kung fu bao (soup dumplings), cumin lamb, and pork knuckles.

Buy 6 cookies and get a free spin!!! Try your luck!!! The cookies are absolutely delicious and very creative!! My personal favorite is the Cookie Monster, galaxy, and funfetti…! the best!!!
