Alcatraz Island
Alcatraz is one of San Francisco's most popular tourist attractions. The history and stories of this famous prison are facinating. There are tours that take you around the island but it is worth booking a tour inside. Make sure you book well in advance as time slots go quickly especially during high season.

Miette Patisserie
Miette inside the Ferry Building is something special. It is the sweetest patisserie serving delicious cake slices, tartlets, cupcakes, cookies, etc. My favorite is the Coconut Mousse Slice or the Hazelnut Mousse Cake. Everything here is so delish and adorable!

Golden Gate Bridge
Golden Gate Bridge is very iconic to San Francisco and everyone wants to take a picture with it. The bridge is beautiful as it crosses the water with boats sailing underneath. You can take a tour boat to go underneath or cross it by car or bike. Either way you see the Golden Gate Bridge, it will be a highlight of your trip.

San Francisco
I have been a frequenter to this beautiful city for several decades. I love everything about it- the ocean air, the culture, the history, Chinatown and the food! SF has been on top of the food chain for a very long time and it doesn't seem to slow down. It is just an amazing city to be in, period.

Chinatown
One of the oldest and best Chinatowns in the United States. There is a lot of history in this part of San Francisco. I believe our current American-Chinese food originated in San Francisco during the miners era. So much food history here! There are yummy bakeries, seafood, dim sum and typical Chinese restaurants that are in between the souvenir stores. This is a fun and delicious place to be while visiting SF!

Whether it is your first time or fifth time, taking a ride on the Blue and Gold Fleet is very enjoyable. You can see the city from a different perspective, from the water! You cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz and have phenomenal views of the city. It is good fun for all generations!

Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar
Located in the Fairmont and one of the oldest Tiki Bars, The Tonga Room has been serving Polynesian style dishes and cocktails since WWII. Get there earlier than their doors open because there is always a line. You can make reservations for a better seat closer to the pool. It's a Tiki good time!

Ghirardelli
This is where it all started and if you are a chocolate lover, Ghirardelli should be on your to do list. This is the original location as Domenico Ghirardelli started it all from what is now, Ghirardelli Square.

Chez Panisse
Chez Panisse is located in Berkeley and worth the trip if you enjoy organic, seasonal California Cuisine. This is Alice Waters flagship restaurant and she has since been one of the influential female restauranteurs who pushed sustainable sourced food. Their menu changes due to the produce and food in season. Check their website for hours and please make a reservation before you go- Enjoy!

Far East Cafe
One of my favorites in SF and I have come here several times. I guess I like it for the private booths, the antiques imported from China decades ago and the fact that it has been around for almost 100 years. The food here is very good, it is typical American-Chinese food and seafood. I guess I like to eat in old places lol.

Musée Mécanique
For those who love antiques, games, collectables or anything from days gone by, be sure to stop by Musée Méchanique. This place is pure fun for all ages. I especially love the coin operated puppet or marionettes. This is a very special place to have so many coin operated games from the past under one roof. It is a facinating museum.
