Baker and Brewer

B&B is a collaboration between EVO Pizzeria and Holy City Brewing so the pizza 🍕 and beer 🍻 are good. Surprisingly, the salads are actually creative and delicious! The space is big, casual and family friendly with an open air wrap around porch for outdoor seating. Great spot to watch a game too.

Melfi's

This is a beautiful new Italian restaurant on far Upper King near Leon’s and Little Jack’s (and owned by the same group). It feels like stepping into an old school NY restaurant. The cocktail bar is beautiful wood and very classic. There is also seating overlooking the kitchen and the wood burning oven. Pizzas, pastas and an awesome Porterhouse for two are standouts. Great atmosphere.

Great spot on Upper King Street for fresh, homemade pizza, pastas and creative Italian dishes. The ‘Nduja Toast w/ fried egg, squash and squash blossom was amazing (pictured). I also enjoyed the Agnolotti w/ smoked mozz, braised pork shoulder, San Marzano, hazelnuts and pecorino. It’s in the heart of the nightlife district, the lights are low, it’s on the loud side and the crowd is definitely prettier and trendier than me! But a fun spot nonetheless.

The best restaurant on Sullivan’s Island and a great Italian-inspired menu in its own right featuring delicious pastas (including gluten free options) and creative thin crust Neapolitan style pizzas 🍕. The atmosphere is rustic but trendy and there’s a great gelato spot downstairs for dessert.
