Hopdoddy Burger Bar
Yes, I’m aware this is a chain and I’m not usually one to rave about franchises, but this place is awesome and I actually wish I had one closer to me! They proudly represent the concept of having fresh, local, handmade food - and you can tell! Although all of the burgers looked and sounded delicious, I was curious about their veggie burger that had goat cheese, a seedy bun, arugula, and some sort of aioli (that I can’t remember the name of 😅). I love a good veggie burger if I know it’s been made in-house, and boy, this one did not disappoint. SO.FREAKING.GOOD. Highly recommend even to non-vegetarians. Also, they have truffle fries which are my absolute fave. This is a good one!

Ok so I’ll admit that I didn’t actually get to eat here... BUT I made sure to snap some pics because this place is absolutely breathtaking! Mid-century, retro decor. One of the coolest features was the dining hall that is set in a lush greenhouse. Very chic and picturesque. Definitely an instagrammable place.

Hangar Lounge
Came here to grab drinks upstairs on their rooftop bar and had a great time. Perfect for small groups to socialize and enjoy the beautiful views of the lit up city!

Golden Tiger
SO happy to have stumbled upon this gem. Didn’t even plan on eating at the bar we were at (Container Bar) but we were hungry and heard they had a good food truck out back so we gave it a shot. Very friendly and helpful staff who made sure we were satisfied with everything. Burgers are delicious and I wish we tried the tiger fries (fries with chopped up ground beef, cheese, jalapeños, and special sauce). Next time!

Rainey Street
Anyone will tell you to check out Rainey St while visiting Austin, and for good reason. This is the cool and trendy strip of bars that are snug together in almost cottage-style houses. They each have their own flare of vibrant personality or themes. Definitely a fun night out experiencing the unique bar scene of Austin. I will suggest going on a weeknight because it’s still poppin’ but the weekends are almost overwhelmingly crowded!

Unbarlievable
A great find on Rainey St. this bar has a literal slide in the back patio area and a giant giraffe statue out front... need I say more?

The Dogwood
Laid back and casual bar with nice outdoor area. Great for watching a sports game. They also have frozen white claws 😂
