Rent a car or hire a guide to drive you around Moldova! This small country is located in between Ukraine and Romania, it is famous for it's Painted Monasteries. To get to Moldova is quite simple as you can take a train to Suceava from Bucharest. From there you can hire a guide to take you to see the sites.

Moldovita Monastery
Moldovita Monastery is another of the famous painted monasteries in the area. It was built in 1532 as a protective barrier against the Ottoman empire.

Residenz
Located in a short walking distance from the train station, Hotel Residenz is an ideal location if you plan on taking the train from Bucharest to Moldova. The rooms are comfortable and there is a nice restaurant on property. Don't forget to order the trout with extra garlic sauce!
