Trinity Hill
Trinity Hill is very unlike the rest of Minsk's communistic style buildings. This is the oldest surviving suburb in Minsk with old town style buildings, cafes and bars.

Svislach
A river runs through it and the Svisloch River is a great body of water to walk along through the city. There are paddleboats, cafes and bars that run along the river so you can easily spend a few hours wandering along side it.

Island of Tears
This little island commemorates the Belarusian soldiers lost during the war in Afghanistan. To access this island there is a pedestrian bridge along the Svisloch River. The Weeping Angel statue is one of the highlights of the island is it cries tears from behind the angels hands.

Holy Spirit Cathedral
Built in 1642, the Holy Spirit Cathedral still stands even throughout regime change, invasions and fire. If you visit, be sure to look for the Minsk Icon which dates back to the 1500s.

Minsk
I was completely fascinated by Minsk! The history of it's communistic past and where they are now simply amazes me. Belarus is a very inexpensive city to visit with high value traveling. It is also one of the safest and cleanest cities in Europe! As of 2019, Visas into the Belarus are free for many countries, including the USA. The ONLY way of entering the country is through the airport as of 2019, so booking a train/ bus into Belarus will cause delays at the border.

Bistro de Luxe
A lovely little Bistro in the center of the city. The breakfasts at Bistro De Luxe are lovely and reasonably priced. The vibe of the restaurant is casual upscale and the prices are very good for the quality of the food. Nice atmosphere with outside seating.

Minsk City Tour
A great way to spend a couple of hours learning and understanding the city of Minsk. The city is very walkable and the Free Walking Tours in Minsk are well thought through. You see all the major landmarks as well as a good history lesson of what makes Minsk so special.

Grand Cafe
I LOVE THIS CAFÉ! Let me say that again, I LOVE THIS CAFÉ! This has to be one of the nicest old Grand Cafes in Belarus. Grand Café is definitely worthy the visit anytime of the day for a cocktail at their swanky bar or for a sit down meal in this upscale Grand Cafe. The food is magnificent and so the service, while the prices are relatively inexpensive for the dining experience.

Janki Kupaly Park
One of the several beautiful parks in Minsk. The Yanka Koupala Park is lush green with plenty of benches, shade, statues and a fountain. It makes for a lovely stroll or a resting spot during your day of touring the city.
