Crepería & Backpacker La Bo'M
Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Great special where you can get two crepes for 18 soles (~$6). Above all, beautiful view of Cusco from the outdoor seating area. Pro tip: get a savory crepe with their sweet cider—it’s out of this world.

Granja Heidi
By far my favorite place to eat in Cusco. The owner is so great, and the restaurant features Peruvian cuisine that also caters to many dietary restrictions. Lots of the food is prepared with ingredients from the owner’s garden, and the Pisco Sour is one of the best I tried in Peru. (Also rotating homemade baked goods that are always worth the splurge). And a lunch special with 3 courses and a drink for only 28 soles ($8)!

Chakruna Native Burgers
Full meal with a drink (usually passionfruit juice), fries, and a burger (and 5 sauces) is less than $5. Try out the quinoa or alpaca burger (and add avocado) if you’re looking to really taste how much better these Peruvian staples are in-country.

Two words: chocolate-filled churros. (The dulce de leche ones are great too, but the chocolate are the best).

If you thought sandwiches could only get so good, think again. Best fries I had in Peru were here, and the Peruvian vegetable sandwich was delicious (and contained literally an entire avocado). Added bonus: I believe the whole meal (juice, fries, and huge sandwich) was only ~$7.
