BIBLIOTĒKA №1
Biblioteka No 1 is an upscale, bright and fun restaurant located within the central park. They have a great Sunday Brunch buffet served with a glass of champagne. They also have a wonderful lunch and dinner menu as well as cocktails.

Bastejkalna park
One of Riga's most beautiful parks that is centrally located. There is a canal that crosses through it as well as flower gardens, bridges, little sculptures and pathways. It is a nice way to spend a couple hours in Riga with a little picnic in the park.

Riga by Canal
Taking Canal Boat in Riga is fantastic as it also cruises along the main river. Thus giving you great views of the city before heading back into one of the small city canals, which brings you back to the park.

Kolonade. Our Stories...
Kolonade is located in the city center next to the Freedom Monument and Laima Clock. There is wonderful outdoor seating as well as a stylish indoor seating area. The menu is seasonal and serves a variety of delicious meatballs and wine.

Double Coffee "Old Town"
Double Coffee is a nice café that is opened early. This place serves nice breakfasts, sandwiches, desserts and coffee drinks. It is a nice casual spot to grab a good meal.

Riga is one of the loveliest Baltic cities due to the number of Art Nouveau buildings. Riga has the highest concentration of Art Nouveau buildings in the world. The city boasts great city parks, shopping, restaurants and museums.

House of the Black Heads
The House of the Blackheads is one Riga's visually famous buildings. The history of this building dates back 14th century which was built for the Brotherhood of the Blackheads. Over the centuries the original building was destroyed during WWII and the Soviets. It was rebuilt in the 1990s to what it is today.

Laima
Laima chocolate is one of the main chocolatiers with a long history in Latvia. There are a few stores and a museum in Riga. The Serenade chocolate candy is one to try as the recipe has not changed since the 1930s.

Located in Old Riga, Egle is the best place to purchase traditional Latvian souvenirs of winter wear, jewelry and wood crafts. I had purchased a few linen pieces and handmade jewelry for great prices here. *The craft market is located at the EGLE restaurant
