El Grillo
From its prime location in the heart of Chapultepec to its solid taplist to its ample patio to its page-long, incredible bottled beer list, El Grillo is a top-tier craft beer destination in Guadalajara. Tons of local options, and even a "Keep Portland Weird" sticker on the wall to make me feel at home. Our only complaint? About a quarter of the bottles are from San Diego. If we wanted San Diego beer (as good as it is), we'd go there.

Cerveza Loba
Not only does Cerveza Loba brew some of the best beer in Guadalajara, including a series of delicious goses featuring seasonal fruits, but their second-floor taproom features a clean, almost industrial vibe, killer food and beer cocktail options, and great service. This place is a can't-miss.

7 Mares Cervecería
No Guadalajara craft beer list is complete without these guys. We stumbled upon their brewing facility, and rather than turn us away, they set us up with a tour, free beer, and amazing conversation. I can't promise the same for you, but look for 7 Mares beer around town, and expect a new taproom opening soon!

The Garden
Right in the heart of Guadalajara's happening Avenida Chapultepec, The Garden is an amazing concept featuring multiple kitchens with multiple menus, one great beer list featuring Cucapa and plenty of guest taps, and an amazing outdoor space with a live music stage. Did I mention watermelon guacamole?!

Craft Bottle Shop / Taproom
Small, friendly, hipster. An impeccably curated draft and bottle list, including more sours than I've seen in Guadalajara. An incredible hot dog restaurant next door with vegetarian options. Need I say more?

20+ taps from all over México. An upscale, spartan vibe. Beertenders with an incredible amount of knowledge about their product. Plus, they even have a Keep Portland Weird sticker on their wall.

El Puesto Ambulante
Small. Intimate. Friendly. Their tepache alone would qualify Ambulante as the best brewery in Guadalajara, but they have much, much more. Plus, the staff is simply lo mejor.

These guys let us pry open their garage door before they were even open, and kept the free popcorn flowing. Not to mention: 10 great local taps, a grungy, laid-back vibe, and killer service.
