Arc de Triomphe
You have to climb the stairs. You miss a great view of you only see it from the street. Amazing art

Eiffel Tower
Get tickets in advance so you are guaranteed to avoid the line and stay to see it light up at night. It is a beautiful view from the top during the day and the light show at night is best seen from the ground. Make sure to walk around town while you are there and stop in a store for fresh pastery or produce.
