Pandora after 80s
When you think of a backpackers hostel, this is the type of place you’ll think of. Lovely little hostel with friendly staff. Met many people from all over the world who were backpacking around Asia. Private and dormitory style rooms. Lovely atmosphere in the lobby. Host also gave great recommendations for places to eat and things to do.

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery
If you’re looking for a cute little escape from the noisy city, take an uber to the bottom of this monastery and then hike up the mountain past hundreds of gold buddhas. The hike itself is beautiful and every Buddha is unique with unique facial features and poses. At the top is a giant gold Buddha with thousands of mini buddhas. Really cool to kill a few hours if you have nothing else to do in the city.

Tian Tan Buddha
Definitely do this if you have a few days in Hong Kong. Buy your tickets online in advance to avoid queues that can be 2-3 hours. Take the subway to the town closest to the Buddha and then you’ll take a cable car through the mountains and reach the bottom of the giant Buddha town. Walk through the town and you’ll be greeted by a giant staircase with over 100 stairs and at the top, one of the biggest buddhas in the world. Whole trip will take roughly 3-4 hours depending on how long you spend at the Buddha but definitely worth the trek.
