Te Anau
The drive to Milford Sound itself is awe-inspiring. Make sure to stop along the drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound to see Mirror Lake--having a night to camp there is great too. @mckenziewisdom

There is so much natural beauty to see in Wanaka, but if you get stuck with shit weather, this is a fun place to stop for an activity! @mckenziewisdom

Franz Josef Glacier
These two glaciers are a must see in the south island. Make it an even more memorable moment by taking a helicopter flight to see from the views from above. Most helicopter tours land on top of the glacier and you get to get out play around in the snow So epic. @mckenziewisdom

The Neck
One of the most picturesque stops along the drive from Wanaka to Queensland. It's truly impossible to not have to pick your jaw off the floor. @mckenziewisdom

Blue Pools Walk INCLUDING DEVEL'S BATH
Take this walking track for amazing views of the Blue Pools. The water underneath the swing bridge is absolutely stunning--it's so blue and clear. The location itself is beautiful, surrounded by picturesque mountains and zen rocks that people have built around the gorge. It's fun to skip rocks here too (as you can see). @mckenziewisdom

Abel Tasman National Park
Take out kayaks on the water for the day here--you will be sure to see seals up close, and sometimes turtles too. In this video, we got so close to a seal feasting on an octopus (right next to our kayak). It was amazing. @mckenziewisdom

Wellington Interislander Ferry Terminal
If you want to make things easy and stick with the same van (which has become your home at this point) and travel from the north to the south island, you will have to purchase a ferry ticket for your van here. The views as the ferry pulls into Picton (south island) are amazing. @mckenziewisdom
