Oosterpark Amsterdam
This is my favorite park in Amsterdam, by far - and that's saying a lot because all of the parks are great! Oosterpark, though, has water fountains, a small lake, plenty of dogs, big open spaces, shady spaces, bridges, benches, a random couch, and plenty of nearby food and drinks for once you're done.

Vondelpark
Vondelpark is HUGE and pretty centrally located, definitely within walking distance of the city center and Museumplein. You could easily spend all day here just meandering.

Sarphatipark
If you're in de Pijp, stop by Sarphatipark for a quick dog fix. There are always dozens of dogs here, and most people are more than willing to let you pet them. There's also a lot of beautiful landscaping. Although it's small, it's great for taking pictures and finding cute dogs - pretty on brand for De Pijp.

Flevopark
Flevopark is a great place for pretty much every activity from running to chilling to eating to drinking to dogspotting. The park borders Nieuwe Diep, which connects to the IJ river, and there are beautiful water views here!

Frankendael Park
A lesser known park a bit further outside downtown Amsterdam, Park Frankendael is a great place to bring picnic blanket and bask in the quiet. There's a good mix of sun and shade here, and there's always room!

Amsterdam Forest
A bit further outside the city, but worth it on a nice day. You can even rent canoes and go out on the pond.

Museumplein
If you're spending the day downtown museum hopping, this is a great area to take a rest and enjoy the weather if you're lucky enough to catch a nice day in Amsterdam. It's near all the great touristy spots, so you'll probably at the very least pass by Museumplein. But, it's worth the stop for a rare green patch in downtown Amsterdam!

Rembrandtpark
There are ponds, playgrounds, picnic tables… everything you need for a full day at the park! Rembrandtpark has all the amenities you'll need and is huge, so you'll be able to find plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your time, even on that one super nice day of weather we have once a year.

Science Park Amsterdam
Okay, it's not officially a park, but right outside the UvA Science Park building there is a huge green space with plenty of space for recreational games and chilling. It's right by Polder and Maslow's and the UvA gym so there are plenty of food and drink options nearby. And you'll also get eduroam here!

Noorderpark
A rare green space among the concrete industrial side of Amsterdam Noord, Noorderpark offers a nice respite. There are some playgrounds and even a little splash pool for kids. It’s not some place where you can spend a full day probably, but that’s fine since there are many small restaurants nearby!
