Sugarloaf Mountain
This cable car takes you to the top of SugarLoaf mountain, which has great views of the city. It’s touristy but if you want awesome views of the city this is an awesome spot for it. Plus there are some wild monkeys up there and some spots for food / drink

Escadaria Selaron
A tourist-spot in Rio that is a flight of famous stairs that is covered with thousands of tiles and art objects. The tiles are named after the artist - Jorge Selaron- who made the stairs his life work. Get ready for a lot of Instagrammers and photos here

Arpoador
If you don’t surf, you can still take good surf lessons here- they have board rentals all along the beach. If you do surf, there are a lot of locals here but the views are fantastic, waves are great, and there is a crowd of people watching from the rocks nearby

Christ the Redeemer
Everyone knows they need to check out this statue if their in Rio- it’s world famous and has some incredible views. But another great way to see it (without long lines) is by helicopter- if you can, go on a helicopter tour of Rio. I don’t think there is a better city to tour by 🚁

Churrascaria Palace
You can’t leave Rio without visiting a Brazilian steakhouse. This spot won’t allow you to leave hungry- it’s endless waves of different types of unbelievable meat. The best meal I had in Rio (but I do love steak)

Copacabana
Arguably the most famous beach in Rio and for good reason. Amazing views, lots of people, and great food / things to do throughout. I stayed here at the Copacabana Palace Hotel during my stay and constantly explored the area
