You will see ponies. It's very close to the Hatteras Ferry port. Right across the street is access to the largest stretch of beach with public Access.

Ocracoke Lighthouse
A lighthouse from 1823. You can't go in but it's fun to see. Limited parking for 4 cars

Springers Point Trail Access
Nice path to the beach. Park at the Assembly of God Church, you will get a ticket if you park on the street. You will find the nature trail as you walk down Loop Road. Very small beach.

One of the only ways to get to Ocracoke Island. It's an over 2 hour ride. Make sure you know the ferry schedule and reserve your spot in advance if it's a popular time
