Lucky Cricket
The newest spot in West End is still getting up and running but it's definitely worth your time. Lucky Cricket is a combination of a tiki bar and Chinese restaurant in the best way. Influences of both are weaved into the décor (you'll feel like you're in Hawaii) and the drinks are served in really cool tiki glasses. They have a lot of signature island cocktails on their happy hour menu, along with sizable bites that could serve as dinner. Stop in from 3-6 pm for happy hour and 8/9 to close for late night!

Red Rabbit Minneapolis
Sister of popular burger joint Red Cow, Red Rabbit is located in the North Loop and has curated a menu of casual Italian flavors. Their happy hour keeps it simple, with $2 most drinks and apps ranging from oysters to pizza. Be sure to try their P,B,&J pizza. It looks a little wild, but tastes amazing (I get mine sans pineapple but plus pepperoni). If you can stop by in summer, check out their back patio as well. Happy hour is from 3-6 and late night runs 9 to close.

The Loop - Minneapolis
Eat by day, party by night. The Loop has a few locations, with one North Loop stop and another in West End. The North Loop location is my preference, with really cool lighting and a couple bucks off pretty much anything from 2-6 pm or 9 pm to 2 am. You wouldn't think it, but the food is great. I've even gotten a salad here and it was bomb.com. If you want to get rowdy, stay late, since The Loop basically turns into a club come night fall. There's a line out the door, a DJ, a bouncer and all.

Punch Bowl Social Minneapolis
Although Punch Bowl Social is technically a chain, it has a pretty solid presence in Minneapolis and the West End. You can do anything here, from dinner to drinks to shuffleboard to karaoke, they've got it all. The décor is super posh, with a light up sign outside, dim lighting inside, and cool chandeliers. This is definitely a hot spot for groups, so grab a few friends and pop in. Happy hour is from 3-6 and includes pretty much all alcohol types you could think of plus a good range of food to choose from.

Rojo Mexican Grill
If you're looking for Tex-Mex, Rojo has got you covered. With three locations in the Twin Cities (new spot just opened Downtown!!), all are the perfect spot for happy hour. Rojo has both regular and late night happy hours, with strong and large margaritas (among other beverages) and a solid appetizer menu to pair. They use queso on their nachos which takes them up a notch in my book, and their loaded guac and quesadillas are great too. Happy hour runs from 3-6 and late night is from 8-10 or 10-11 on weekends.
