Malaysia National Park
Taman Negara is the worlds oldest rainforest. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity in terms of experiencing a totally wild place. You stay in a small little village or in the jungle, wake up to the noises of various different animals and hike through an unbelievable animal kingdom where animals can come out of nowhere. We didn't venture in very deep but still saw lots of monkeys, wild boar, snakes and birds. Taman Negara is definitely worth the trip to see total wilderness.

Elephant Jungle Sanctuary
The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is a wonderful day trip to go on. We looked long and hard for an ethical sanctuary to visit where the elephants weren't ridden. This was the place. We spent the day cleaning, feeding, washing and swimming with the elephants in a good environment. If you are planning on spending a day with elephants really contemplate going here as it is by far the most ethical centre we could find.

Kinabatangan River
This is probably the best place in Malaysian Borneo to see fully wild Orangutan and pygmy elephants. We were lucky enough to have some memorable experiences with Orangutan. We saw a huge male cross the river, a mother and her baby. This part of Borneo is where we have seen the widest variety of animals on our travels. Apart from Orangutan we saw pig tailed macaques, Long tailed macaques, proboscis monkeys, crocodile, snake, red leaf monkey and silver leaf monkey.

Singapore Zoo
An unexpected wildlife experience we had was in Singapore. At Singapore Zoo for 5SGD you can actually hand feed white rhinos. This was so enjoyable and a memorable moment. You get given a little basket full of fruit before heading over to your designated rhino to feed.

Cambodian Pride Tours
Irrawaddy Dolphins are an endangered species of dolphin that are now on the rise in Cambodia. They are normally very rare to see however if you go around December when the water level is low you have a very good chance of seeing them. We saw a lot of these beautiful mammals and felt so lucky afterwards.

Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre
Sepilok is a great place to see some of the wonderful work going on to protect and rehabilitate some of Asia's animals. Here in Sepilok ther is an Orangutan and Sun Bear sanctuary. They are just across the road from each other. We highly recommend visiting if you get the chance they are both amazing. You get to see plenty of Orangutan and Sun Bear that are ready for release and learn a lot about the struggles the species are going through.

Bukit Lawang is an incredible place to see wildlife. You can go on a day trek or stay for a couple nights in the rainforest. The rainforest offers unbelievable wild experiences deep in ananimal paradise. Here you can potentially see Orangutan, Sun Bear, Gibbons, Elephants and maybe even Tiger if you are lucky. As well as this you can see lots of other types of monkey. We would highly recommend doing at least a day trek. We saw so much and loved the jungle experience.

Bali Sea Turtle Society
In Bali we absolutely loved releasing some baby sea turtles. If you head to Kuta Beach at around 3pm most days they will be releasing some turtles. It is a lovely, unforgettable experience. We named our turtles chill and fidget because one was so crazy and the other so relaxed.

Langkawi
If in Malaysia make sure you try and find some Dusky Leaf Monkeys. They are so adorable and a must see. We found a lot of them on the island Langkawi. They can be found in a lot of places one being around the Seven Wells Waterfall.
