Llyn Padarn
A beautiful lake in Llanberis, perfect for a sunny day. Rent a kayak or a canoe for a lesuirely paddle across the lake, on looking a vast slate quarry. It does get cold but on warmer days of the year its a lovely place to swim.

The Secret Lake
Only a 10 minute drive from Llyn Padarn is a secret lake, it consists of crystal clear waters in an old quarry. It can only be reached by foot and its a tricky climb down so bare that in mind. It isn't so secret with the locals and you can usually find people jumping from the high cliffs that surround it. Search 'Secret Lake Llanberis' to find the location.

Sychnant Pass Road
Above the town of Conwy is an old road, that before the dual carriageway was built, connected Conwy to the villages of Dwygyfylchi, Penmaenmawr and Llanfairfechan. It has views of the mountains, the sea and surrounding towns. Park at the top to take one of the many walks to an even better view.

Snowdon
As the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon is a must. Take the train up and have a coffee at the top and walk down. I would recommend getting up early and walking up to see the sunrise, truly a magical experience.

Next to the Carneddau Mountains this lake lies in the bottom of a valley surrounded by thick forest. Go there on a summers day for a BBQ, a swim or a walk around the lake.

Portmeirion
Even though this village was built for tourism its bright colours and Italian feel is a picture perfect place. Go on a sunny day for views of the estuary and to wander the village.
