Sigiriya
Sigiriya Rock is one of Sri Lanka's most iconic sights. Go here early in the day or later in the afternoon as the sun can get really hot. The cost to enter is $30 per person which is pretty pricey but well worth it. You can easily reach here by public bus from Kandy.

Dambulla Cave Temple
Just a short drive from Sigiriya Rock, the Cave temples are well worth a visit. There are multiple caves filled with buddha statues and beautiful frescos painted on the walls. Just remember to remove your shoes before entering.

Dalawella Beach
The best beach in Sri Lanka, in my opinion. The beach is less crowded than some of the others and the large rock makes for a postcard perfect photo! This is also the beach where the instagram famous swing can be found.

Arugam Bay Beach
Known as one of the best surfing beaches in the world, Arugam Bay has a chill vibe and lots of great shops and restaurants. It is also a great launching point to take one of Sri Lankas safaris where you can spot elephants and maybe even a leopard!

Fort
The historic town of Galle Fort was one of my favorite places in Sri Lanka. With 3 sides surrounded by the sea you can walk along the old fort walls and get some of the best sunset views around. There are many trendy shops and delicious restaurants located in Galle Fort. This is great home base for exploring all the nearby beaches.
