Provence
Whilst not the most unique destination on this list, if you time your visit just right then you can take in the beautiful vista of flowering lavender fields as far as the eye can see as you meander between beautiful centuries old wineries and cellar doors with the odd castle in between.

Saving the best till last! Whilst Mendoza is on most travellers' radar, Cafayate is largely ignored. Set like an oasis in a desert landscape characterised by incredible sandstone formations and endless cactii, you will be rewarded by beautiful Spanish colonial architecture, amazing wine and the adventure of a lifetime.
