Tegallalang
The rice terraces are really beautiful and worth seeing. At the parking lot, where our driver parked, we had paid one ticket each to 10'000 IDR (75 Rp.). What we do not know yet, because we never had to show it. I would advise you to go there in the early morning or in the evening, as it gets really hot during the day and it's very exhausting to climb the rice terraces and back up again. But even from down the street you have a great view and there are great pictures.

Lovina Beach
Lovina is a well known seaside resort in the north of Bali. In addition, a well-known starting point for dolphin tours. On Hotels.com I came across the Santhika Bnb due to the good reviews . And the good rating is justified. Even the welcome a highlight: fresh fruits, an ice tea and the best, a free foot massage. It is a very nice facility and you think you live in the middle of the jungle. The Russian owner of the accommodation is warned in advance that you should not book tours on the intrusive street vendors. You can book different tours at a much cheaper price right in Santhika Bnb. I chose the dolphin tour.

Ubud
Ubud itself I found very nice. A small town where life - as so often in Asia - takes place on / on the streets. A few days are sufficient in my opinion, however. Mainly there are 2 big streets where something is going on but especially in the streets in between there are cheap restaurants and bar's, you just have to find them. I was particularly impressed by the artistic side of Ubud. Everywhere there are galleries and craft things are sold, which are beautiful and, above all, very trendy in Europe. Totally hipster city with healthy / vegan food, yoga and self-made.

Pura Tirta Empul
Tirta Empul - Holy Water Temple: At the beginning you pay 15'000 IDR (1.10 Fr.) If you do not have your own sarong with you, you can "donate" again. Because there are a few rules there. (see image). You could "bathe" in holy water there, but of course only if you pay again. Apparently the water should be holy and healing. Otherwise, just to look it is nothing special. Oh yes : To get out of the temple you have to go through a market for about 5 minutes, where you all want to do a sarong or something else, just go on, eventually the exit will come.

Segara Windhu Coffee Plantation
Finally something, which is free. You actually pay no entrance and can go through you plantation, where you can go along with coffee trees and z. For example, pineapple plants, papaya and mango trees as well as vanilla plants could be seen. In addition, there are Kopi Luwak (coffee cats) which are responsible for the most expensive coffee in the world. They eat the beans and shit (sorry for the word but it's actually like that) and then they are the beans that are used for the most expensive coffee in the world. I never liked coffee !! What was great, at the end there is even a free tasting of various coffee and tea's. But of course you can buy them later in the shop.

Goa Gajah
Elephant Cave in Bedulu- The exciting thing about elephant cave is that there are Buddhist and Hindu figures in the same place. Why do not you know exactly? There is only a short corridor in the cave and that's it. Not extremely exciting but nice to look at.

Kemenuh
Waterfall- Another 10'000 IDR spent climbing down some stairs and looking at the big waterfall. Is really impressive and you could swim there too. But to go up, you would have to pay 10'000 IDR again that was not worth it. Oh yes, on the internet or in travel guides is often that you need 30 minutes for the way. However, you are in 10 minutes at the waterfall below and to go up you have at most 20 minutes.

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Entry into the monkey forest costs IDR 40'000 (about 3 Fr.) for adults. Ubud's Monkey Forest is well known and loved. Visitors can take pictures with the monkeys and walk around in the park. I have to say honestly, walking around was more fun. I have a lot of respect for the monkeys because they can become aggressive and argue among themselves. Moreover, it is not uncommon for them to steal things from tourists. I even saw a monkey on the street (not in the forest anymore) steal the whole plastic bag full of food. So, bring no food and keep the camera well. Many travel doctors also advise against a visit, as the monkeys can bite and infect you with rabies. Of course these are exceptional cases but you should still enjoy the forest with care.

Uluwatu Temple
There are enough beaches in the south of Bali. However, these are sometimes difficult to reach due to the cliffs. As it is also very high tide and low tide noticed, it can also be that a beach just has no place to sunbathe. But, I loved the beaches, which I saw during my stay in Bali. Attention , always use sunscreen. As you sunbathe very close to the equator, you quickly underestimate the strength of the sun. 1) Pantai Uluwatu- If you go down the stairs at the single-fin, you will find this small beach, which is almost in a cave. When we were there, however, it was almost completely flooded. Here all surfers go into the water to surf off the coast (only for experienced surfers).2) Padang Padang- Cute little beach, which is accessible only by stairs. 3) Bining Beach- Also this beach is only accessible via steep stairs. But very clean and pleasant for swimming. It has some cool and nice bar's and warung's (small restaurants). There are no beach chairs, but that would be really difficult, because at noon, the beach is almost completely flooded for a few hours. At " Kelly's Warung " we spent almost the whole day. Good drinks, delicious food and a shower to get rid of the sand. 4) Nyang Nyang- This beach is not easy to find, but with GoogleMaps it works. Just turn left at the temple of Uluwatu. The scooter is then placed on top of the cliff and in front of you is a steep gravel path down to the beautiful beach. The descent and especially the even stricter ascent is well worth it! You can expect a deserted beach, but strong waves and current. I just met a fisherman who even spoke great English for a quick little talk. Since there are no bars or restaurants, you will find almost no shade. So be sure to take sunscreen and enough water. If you get thirsty for a cold drink then sometimes a few locals get lost, who like to sell you a chilled coke for 20'000 IDR. For me, this deserted beach was a real highlight. I also heard that the neighboring beach Nunggalan Beach should be super nice, but there are also other tourists and you do not have the beach all to yourself. Oh yes, often you pay a small fee for the landowner or a parking fee of 10'000 IDR (0.70 Fr.) to get to the beach, this is quite normal.
