Chic, high end wood-fired pizza place in the middle of downtown. Although they are known for their pizza, you can never go wrong with any of the other options. Whenever I go I am always torn between the Materassi Pizza, the Chicken Caesar Salad, and the Vodka Sauce Pasta - all are amazing.

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina
Hip, laid back environment with three different locations in the Charleston area all with a large outdoor seating area. My favorite location is definitely the one located on Sullivan's Island only two blocks from the beach. My favorite item on the menu is the Bangin' Shrimp Taco, but helpful hint: ask for that on a quesadilla instead, it's even better.

Great place to go for a burger and fries on a beautiful day. They have a large outdoor seating area and is located only two blocks from the beach on Sullivan's Island. The restuarant itself is centered around Edgar Allan Poe and all of the burgers are even named after his poems which makeup this restaurants' fun environment.

Amazing high end Italian cuisine located downtown, known for their wood-fired pizzas. Really unique seasonal menu with lots of different combonations of pizza toppings that you would never think to put together. If they have the brussel sprout, brie, and green apple pizza you have got to try it! Can't go wrong with any of the hand-crafted pastas either.

Leon's
A very trendy restaurant located downtown with a great selection of oysters, seafood, and fried chicken. The hushpuppies are amazing but my very favorite is their side of scalloped potatoes. If you are looking for a place to host an event, they have an event space in the back which has a great setup, as I have actually rented this out before.
