The Local Pacific Beach

great place to go for bar food. Nachos are BOMB and the have a great beer selection. I don't like their burgers or wraps though, mainly just the small plates. This bar never really gets too crowded unless it's a holiday, but otherwise the downstairs is a lowkey vibe and upstairs is one big dance floor. this bar is also half in door half outdoor. They have 51% your tab on Monday nights if you’re in the industry or if you are a local and then have happy hour on Friday nights

Firehouse American Eatery & Lounge

this is the go to spot on Thursday nights for students because if you show your ID they give you half priced drinks all night long! Now that I am not a student anymore I typically don't find myself going here much anymore. Great rooftop bar with a live DJ on saturday/sunday morning's and the wednesday's they have live music and half off wine bottles

Altitude Sky Lounge

this has a bit of a dress code aka don't wear flip flops, shorts or tank tops, dress a little nicer. It is on the pricer side, but for a good reason because it has an incredible view overlooking the padres stadium and great drinks and good music

El Prez

man o man I love this place!!! Probably one of the most creative bar ideas around. This bar is so popular during the day time because the rooftop bar is such a great atmosphere and the views are insane. It's all mexican themed so the props and décor make it a really fun environment. The tacos rock, the frose is fab and the mexican mules are on point. They also have "buckets" here which are kind of expensive, but because it is so much alcohol and worth it. This place is popping for sunday football games (it's a packers bar) and saturday during the day as well. Not a popular bar at night though and not nearly as fun of an experience because they have to close the rooftop at a certain hour so you have to stay inside.
