University of Missouri
Mizzou is the birthplace of Homecoming so they know how to do it right! If you are in Columbia during Homecoming you will witness the ultimate of a College Town’s celebration . This is home of the Mizzou Tigers and this University campus dates back to the mid 1800s. If you like strolling campuses this is a great one. MU is flanked by Greek Life Mansions, buildings that date back over 100 years and it is right next to downtown.

Hannibal was Mark Twain’s boyhood town and is the inspiration for ‘Adventures of Tom Sawyer’. This is one of the most charming Americana towns in the Midwest with a step back in time feel. You can take a riverboat cruise down the Mississippi or take a tour of the caves. A very fun little town.

Hermann
This little gem of a town is a ways off the highway but is worth a drive in. Hermann is an old German-American town built in the 1800s. The landscape reminded German settlers of the Rhine due to the river and hills. There is also a great winery here, Stone Hill, and some great German restaurants.
