Place Charles de Gaulle
This is the city center of Lille. This area is lined with restaurants and bakeries, different places to shop, and occasionally a market. If you're lucky to visit Lille around the holidays, the city center will be crafted with decorations and there's a ferris wheel!

This area is located close to Grand Place. "Vieux" in English means "Old," but "Old Lille" is a great spot to hit up for drinks, the cutest stores, and places where you can grab a quick treat.

La Ducasse
This restaurant is a great french spot to hit up, if you’re in the mood for a flavorful steak. As someone who doesn’t eat steak regularly, this restaurant knows how to make do it right. In addition, they offer other french classics too!

Tcha-Tcha
A fun spot to go out with friends, if you all are wanting to grab a drink or two. In addition, enjoy some complimentaty marshmallows. Tcha Tcha has one of the best mojitios I've tried in France.

Marché Couvert de Wazemmes
Enjoy a morning of buying jewelry, produce, pastries, and other items at this market. Heads up, this flea market is open only on Sundays. I recommend going to the Wazemmes Market at least once, especially since most other places aren't open on Sundays anyway.

Palais des Beaux Arts
One of the largest museums in Lille, housing an enormous range of European Art. If I'm not mistaken, the museum is free the first Sunday of the month. However, the museum is closed on Tuesdays.

Euralille
Euralille doubles as a shopping mall and a train station. This is one of the best places to go shopping in Lille, if you’re looking for the most up to date fashion. In addition, this center also houses the Lille train station. Conveniently, this area is surrounded by hotels, restuarants, and other little shops.
